Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè (/ˈlɘqë/ /aˈmiʃè/ [tired (needing sleep); tired (needing rest)] [wedge]) is a temperate Town located in the Mèrevaqêyê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè was founded by Osteocula Gadsênkdsm, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 21°C (69°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 12°C (53°F). Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè receives an average of 281 cm/y (110 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 1028 m (3372 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 14th century in winter of the year 1322, by Osteocula Gadsênkdsm. The establishment of Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Osteocula Gadsênkdsm electing to pay people to resettle in Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè.

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè is buildings are located arround a single premissive packed earth mainstreet which forms a clockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè's cost-cutting-focused defences are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

A look around Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè is like looking into a university’s plaza on the day before an exam. People rush about to-and-fro. Discarded scrolls and quills are dotted around town. In spite of many locals discussing academic topics, there’s little sign of any organized groups for any of that talk. Infact, the town seems disordered in general with everything scattered helter skelter about.

Civic Infrastructure

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè. Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè's natural decorations nor waterways.

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

The locals are in a state of despair and dull apathy. They've lost the things that used to give them pride and hope, with the best among them carrying on out of habitual duty and the worst giving ready hands to shameful deeds and ignoble acts. No one really believes the future can be better, and most seek only to satisfy immediate appetites.

Lêqë-amithè Dêtîkè's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by order, symmetry, formal design, grandiosity, and elaborate ornamentation. Architectural characteristics include balustrades, balconies, columns, cornices, pilasters, and triangular pediments. Stone exteriors are massive and grandiose in their symmetry; interiors are typically polished and lavishly decorated with sculptures, swags, medallions, flowers, and shields.
